Will not connect with camera

Simply does not work. This version of the app will not connect to my Powershot G16, running on either my iPad nor my iPhone 6, both running iOS 9.3.2. And what does "operate the camera to establish a connection" mean?

Used to work

This app used to work perfectly, I had used it twice and now I just tried to do use the wifi connection once again and it wouldnt work. At all. I could connect to the cameras wifi but then the app wouldnt recognize that it was connected to the camera, and the camera would say it wasnt connected to my phone because you have to open the app in order to complete the connection.... So now its completely useless. Very frustrating. I hope it gets fixed soon!

Cmon Canon, you can do better!

This is why Fuji and Sony are eating your lunch. Its 2016 and if you cant make a simple wireless camera app that consistently and reliably connects every single time, then you need to hang up your keyboard and go home. As it is, I cant get this app to connect at all. Downloading this app was a waste of my time, and frankly Im getting frustrated with this companys lack of technological savvy. I think its time that I took a harder look at the Sony lineup.

Partially functional

I bought this for a cross-country road trip to help log And geo-tag the hundreds of photos I expected to take. When I find is that the app is not nearly as good as the Canon camera that I bought to accompany it. The location logs are buggy at best. I start a new log, and it mysteriously disconnects sometime during the day. The instructions are meager and unhelpful. My solution is to take photos with my iPhone, and I will manually add those locations to photos taken with my Canon when I get home. On the plus side uploading photos to my Apple Photo app works smoothly and at least captures the date and time. Im surprised Geo tagging photos is still so primitive, since Im used to it with my iPhone

Wont connect to camera

I follow the directions online, but the app will not connect to the camera. Worthless!!

Used to work

Used it in the past but now doesnt function. In fact none of the camera connect apps are working for me and Ive uploaded this way in the past. Get it together canon!

No longer works

This app used to work fine but now my photos only appear on my phone as grey boxes. Super annoying. Why developers roll out changes before they are ready is totally beyond me. I agree with the other reviewer who said that if the team at Canon cant make a reliable app in 2016, they should all hang up their keyboards and go home. How about releasing new versions rather than breaking the current one?

FIX THE APP!!!!!

Last week the app was perfect and worked every time. Now it wont even display the option to connect to my camera. It needs an update or bug fix ASAP! Incredibly irritating!

Doesnt work

I opened it and it didnt connect to my camera whatsoever.

Doesnt connect and I dont know why

I installed the app. Tried connecting to my camera various ways from my iPhone 6S. Did not work. Shame on Canon for advertising this as a feature.

Used to work, not anymore!

This used to work perfectly and I could easily upload photos from my camera to my phone wirelessly. Now the app doesnt work at all and wont even connect to the camera even though my camera and phone are connected just fine. Needs to be fixed. Very disappointed with this because I have no other choice but to go print photos off now instead of saving to my phone. Unhappy!

Connection

I have been reading the reviews for this app for a while now, and I realize that Im not the only one with this problem, which is frustrating because if I was the only one, then I would have been able to fix the problem myself. Instead I found that most people are having the same problem with connecting the app on our phones (an IPhone 5s for me) to the camera. Ive tried switching to different wifi sources over the past couple of months, Ive tried resetting my phone, erasing then re-downloading the app, erasing it for well over 6 months then coming back to it, hoping the new updates would have the problem fixed and its unbelievable how long its been without any help at all. There has been no new updates to accommodate and guide us through this, nothing that has even for a second fixed the problem and its frustrating. There should be more work and more information to help with this. We need feedback and we need progress.

Why have wifi if the interface doesnt work?

This app used to be a life saver when traveling. As a professional that uses this app solely for their business, the wifi connect was a feature I ranted and raved about. Now, when I open the app, I get a blank page with no options or ability to utilize its functions. Ive been waiting for a month to hopefully see an update. After installing and confirming all settings are properly applied, Im truly disappointed.

When it works its okay...

Its rare this app actually works. Normally I have to reconfigure settings for 20 minutes and then only sometimes it will connect to my camera. My camera works flawlessly otherwise so Im not inclined to think its the camera, which means it has to be this app. When by some miracle I do get it to connect it works decently, though a bit laggy with displaying the images.

Not working anymore

This app worked beautifully! Now its not working! Seems that everyone is having this problem recently. Hopefully its fixed soon

70D Video should be included

Its completely ridiculous that this app wont allow you to download the videos captured with the 70D. Canon, this app rarely works and when it does, we still cant use it for video.

Very poor app

Major disappointment in Canon. Canon heavily promotes Wi-Fi connection for use with their newer, high end point and shoot cameras. I bought the expensive Canon G7x mk ll for this reason. Now I am unable to obtain a functional app for Wi-Fi connection and am forced to use 20 year old technology to move photos to my devices. This app deserves a minus 5 on a scale of -5 to +5 and a future boycott of Canon until they fix this issue.

But it will be awesome if i can save multiple photos at the same the old app have this option select more than one photo and i can choose the resolution of the image.. Thanks!

Cant connect the camera to my iPhone

I can get my camera to generate a WiFi signal, connect my iPhone/iPad to the WiFi, but the app wont recognize my camera (which is supported). I give up with this useless app.
