Simply wont work with my G16 and my 6s. Thank goodness Camera Window still does. Pleas fix it!
Surprised and dismayed at how limited the remote shooting is! It can zoom and snap a photo, but thats really about it! Theres no exposure control, no interval shooting, and no video capture! What adds to user consternation is that Canon nowhere describes what can and cant be done. Surprisingly, the old tethered Remote Capture was leaps and bounds ahead of this app. While it, too, couldnt do video, it had the full panoply of controls-- change modes, set aperture, set shutter speed, change exposure, set white balance, zoom, choose macro focus, change metering and focusing area, etc. This is a pale copy of that program and its disappointing. It fails to match the quality of Canons cameras. For those interested in remote shooting, such as for fashion, wild life, or astronomy, the app is a big fail. I would urge Canon to revamp and upgrade this app greatly. Modern cameras deserve modern apps. Other companies, such as Panasonic, do a much better job in the app world.
Worked some with previous iPhone. Wont work with the 6.
Before downloading I looked for different apps to share photos directly from my camera to my iPhone because of negative reviews. Eventually everything I read about my TS6 referred me to this app. I downloaded it and connected my camera to the phone, in seconds I had all my photos and could pick choose the ones I wanted to download. No trouble at all, maybe the negative reviews are from end users that are not tech savvy. For me it is an awesome app and I love it.
This is more a response to the reviewer that said essentially be happy with the features you got. Seriously‽ When I compared features between this and other cameras and bought the CANON it was expressly because it supports WIFI. The fact that my iPhone 6 can connect but my wifes cannot nor can I get it connected to my iPad is extremely frustrating. The app telling me it cant connect and to activate the camera to establish the connection (which only turns off the wifi) is not helpful troubleshooting.

This app doesnt work. I will continue to use EOS Remote app. Note to Canon: you do realize your customers bought the 6D specifically to use wifi while working! How difficult is it to FIX the app?
Apparently this app is now the replacement for EOS Remote. Especially if you have a new 80d camera. The EOS Remote app had tons of key features and functionality which this has none. Update the app or bring back the EOS app. This is terrible.
